Who are we?

CGbytes is a Canadian-based company founded in 2012 as the parent company to Renderotica, which has, since 1999, been one of the largest and most popular 3D communities on the web.  In 2013 Renderotica was restructured, separating the community aspects of the site from the marketplace and all 3D application content was moved to CGbytes making it immediately one of the largest and busiest marketplaces in the 3D community.

CGbytes has continued to be a family-friendly website, very different from its adult-oriented roots.


If I shop at CGbytes what will I see?

You will find a wide variety of Poser and Daz Studio content created by well known artists as well as up and coming artists,  Clothing, stand alone figures, hair, props, scenery sets, poses and everything else in between.  And with all of this you’re shopping experience will be free from seeing any adult content principally associated with its more risque sister site.


Is my privacy protected?

We take our member’s privacy very seriously.  We’ve had to for obvious reasons and we’ve become exceedingly good at it!  At no time is your personal data shared publicly between CGbytes and Renderotica.  While your order history originating from both may appear together in your own CGbytes Account Settings, at no time is your shopping preferences shared with anyone.


If I sell products on CGbytes will they appear on Renderotica?

This is TOTALLY up to YOU!  When you submit a product to CGbytes you have the option to either have it displayed on ONLY CGbytes or have it also aggregate to the Renderotica catalog as well.  While having your products displayed in both catalogs will give you the best sales results we understand that some people are just not comfortable with adult content and do not want their products appearing next to them.

Because of that we allow YOU to make that choice!  You can take full advantage of Renderotica’s 17 years of operation OR you can stick to just appearing in the family-friendly CGbytes marketplace.


What are the benefits of selling with CGbytes?

Experience:  With our 17 year track record and extensive user and customer base,  the CGbytes team know how to operate and maintain a successful marketplace.  Hosting your products and handling the processing are just the beginning, we take the extra steps to make sure people will find your products, and we showcase more than just a few ‘elite’ creators.

Piracy Protection:  When you have an exclusive product in one of our catalogs we have staff whose job is to scour the web for pirated copies of that product and once they are discovered they make every effort to have that content REMOVED from the pirate site, torrent site, or file sharing site!

To date, we are the only one of the top 4 marketplaces who actually actively polices our exclusive content to make sure our artists get paid for their hard work.  Most of us are creators ourselves and we know the blood, sweat, and tears that go into making content, and we have faced the sting and money loss that piracy creates so we endeavour do something about it!

Innovation:  CGbytes understands that as the software we utilize evolves so must we.  For years we have taken steps to provide our members with the tools they need to reach their audience, and as your needs change so do the tools we provide you with.  From our Artist Studio panel, to the upcoming Membership Galleries, as well as our unique promotions, you will have access to cutting edge (yet easy to use!) tools.

Competitive Pay:  CGbytes offers a Standard 50% split on all of your sales through our marketplace, But that percentage can go as high as 70% depending on if the product is exclusive or meets various sales milestones in any calendar month.  We don’t believe in being greedy and it shows!

Monthly Payouts:  CGbytes processes payments to our Content Artists every month, normally within the first few days of the following month.  Payment methods include PayPal, Western Union, and Check (US residents only).
