Notes from the artist: You can find new icons for loading this product in the following Poser Libraries: Figures: "Dreadworks 3" "HLC Concrete" "HLC DarkMetal" "HLC Metal" "HLC Rust" "HLC Teal" "HLC White" "HLC Worn" Pose: "Dreadworks 3\HLC Poses" The Hybrid Lab Chamber is a stand alone mini-lab set with Isolation Chamber, restraining table, tentacle tools and more. The HLC is textured the match the other dreadworks package and also features some new textures as well. Here is a brief explanation of the sets components. Figure Libraries: **SPECIAL NOTE AND PRE-ASSEMBLIES AND NULL FIGURES** Null parents are diamond shaped, non-rendering figures that I parent other parts to. This allows you to move an entire scene without having to move each individual piece. A Null Parent is available in the library for you to use. Assem Full 1 and 2: Two setups are provided for you to begin with. The full assem 1 features the chamber assembly, the full assem 2 features the chamber table and and pre-assembled tentacle tool holders. The default table position for each assembly is set to zero, you should add your character, apply the table pose for your character, then apply the character pose for your character. Parent the character to the "rails" part of the table. Now you can add your lighting and begin rendering away. Chamber Assem A: This is the Chamber with Pre-parented Tentacle tool holders, tentacles/tooltips and the Chamber top cap added. There is a morph in the glass of the tubing that allows you to adjust the height of the glass in case you want to run the glass up past the top of the chamber. The morph will hide the glass. Chamber Basic: This is the basic chamber with no pre-added figures. Same notes about morphs from above apply. Chamber Top Cap: This is just a prop figure that can be added anywhere in your scene or to the top of the Chamber Figure. Chamber Floor: This is a simple floor prop to add scenes onto. Chamber Table: This is a unique and stylish sci-fi looking lab restraining table. It is fully posable. The base moves up and down, the cuffs can be rotated and positioned as you would like them. The table also features symmetrical mirror posing ability, you can pose/adjust the cuffs on one side of the table (and your character) and mirror the pose to the other side. Use the Figures menu/symmetry commands. The table also has a default pose plus a matching pose for your M3, V3 and V4 characters. You should add your character, apply the table pose for your character, and then apply the character pose for your character. Parent the character to the "rails" part of the table. Now you can move your table to any desire location by moving its base. Tool Lifter: This is a long shafted figure that you can add the easypose tentacles to. There is a pre-assembled lifter/tentacles already applied in the Chamber Assem A library figure. Tool Tentacle: This is an articulated tentacle figure with easypose bending technology built in. There are 4 control segments (seg 01, seg10, seg20 and seg30). Click on any of these segments and you can bend, twist, rotate, spiral twist your tentacle to your desired shape. You can parent one tentacle to the end of another and make it longer. There are 3 pre-assembled tentacles that have tool tips added in the library. The tentacle also has little ambient lit lights that are on the sides of the tentacles, these will glow in a dark scene. Very cool Tool Tenta Claw: This is a claw-like tool figure that can grip objects. It is pre-parented to an easypose tentacle. There is a stand alone claw as well. Tool Tenta Spike: This is a spike/injector figure with 2 posable spike shafts and spikes, There is also a light assembly built on to the figure as well. This is parented to a tentacle, there is a stand alone spiker as well. Tool Tenta Syringe: This is a syringe figure with adjustable plunger and adjustable fluid level. The fluid level is a morph built into the plunger/fluid part. This figure is parented to a tentacle and comes as a stand alone figure as well. Wall Prop Wall: This is a tall, simple wall figure you can attach the lamps and Wall Prop Tenta Holder to. Parent figures to it and save it back to the library so it will be ready to use again and again. The walls help add interest to your scene. Wall Prop Assem A: This is a wall prop with 2 lamp 1 figures attached to it. Wall Prop Assem B: This is a wall prop with 4 lamp 1 figures attached to it. Wall Prop Assem C: This is a wall prop with 2 lamp 1 figures and 2 lamp 2 figures attached to it. Wall Prop Lamp 1: This is a large eye-like lamp you can place anywhere in your scene, the lens has an ambient lit material zone that will glow in a dark scene. Wall Prop Lamp 2: This is a posable tall lamp you can place anywhere in your scene. Wall Prop Tenta Holder: This is a cool tool holder with ovular shaped parts that you can move and bend/twist into any direction. There is a stand alone holder and 2 pre-assembled holders with tentacles and tools already parented available in the library. Poses: There are poses for M3, V3 and V4 in the Pose library: Dreadworks 3 / HLC poses. The poses are provided for the table itself and a matching pose for M3, V3 and V4. See table notes above for usage. Textures: The texture for my products are always high resolution for good closeup scenes. If you encounter any memory problems or slow loading, you can always resample the textures in a paint program to a smaller dimension and resave them (back up the originals). This will allow for faster rendering on non close-up scenes. Tips and Tricks: All the shadow casting has been turned off on the many of the parts and assemblies. I do this to allow light to pass through the walls so you don't have to struggle with lighting and shadow so much. I generally use 3 directional lights. 2 with shadow casting turned off, one with shadow casting turned on. The light with shadow casting I usually situate above the scene and light coming from behind or to the rear sides of the camera, this allows other items such as your character and other props in the room to throw a shadow onto the floor and back at an angle. You can turn on shadow casting on the elements such as walls and ceiling/floors if you want to use spot lights or point lights. Simply click the element and change its "cast shadows" button to "on". There is also a companion product called "Dreadworks -III Detention Cell Unit Core Pack" available that is a good companion product to this package Thanks again for your purchase, I hope you enjoy it.
