The Efficiency Apartment 09/23/15 by Richabri (Rick Bridenbaker) [email removed] Thank you for purchasing the The Efficiency Apartment for Poser! All of this product's content was created by Richabri. =============================================================================== Description: =============================================================================== The Efficiency Apartment is an 14-piece (PP2) prop set replicating a very small apartment setting (that would be found in an apartment house or even a high-rise building)complete with bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances. I wanted a design for a very small apartment that not ony worked as a livable space, but one that would also work well in Poser (or Daz Studio), even though it was enclosing such a small space. The Efficiency Apartment succeeds at both and by making the entire set so modular, it overcomes any difficulties in setting up a scene no matter what part of the set is being used. All of the walls (including the ceiling) along with the bathroom and kitchen fixtures are separate props so they can be used or removed as your scene requires. The Efficiency Apartment also comes with a PZ3 file that will load in the complete set with a default lighting scheme and all render parameters set to go. You will need Poser 5 (or higher) or Daz Studio to use this set. The Efficiency Apartment includes everything you need to set up a small apartment scene including: Props (PP2): ==================== !!Eff-Apart Preload !Bath-Fixtures !Kitchen !Refridge Ceiling Floor Wall-Back Wall-Bath Wall-Center Wall-Front Wall-Interior Wall-Left Wall-Partition Wall-Right Everything comes as Poser ready props that can be loaded from the content palette under the Props section or for even easier use, load the PZ3 scene file that will load in the props with a default lighting rig. The Efficiency Apartment also comes with all of the texture templates to allow you to give the props a custom look of your own design. ============================================================================= Notes: =============================================================================== All doors (except the patio and shower unit doors) have their joint parameters adjusted to swing open from the hinges with a normal Y-Rotation. The patio and shower unit doors slide open with an X-Trans (Patio) and Z-Trans (Shower Unit) respectively. There are no limits to the swing however so you should be careful to control the final position of the door(s) being opened. The default lighting scheme uses four infinite lights with only the 'Main' light having the ability to create shadows and the other three providing fill and accent lighting. Although this lighting rig provides a fairly balanced lighting of the complete interior I highly recommend adjusting it for any specific scenes you may create if you choose to use it. Most of the time, that will usually only involve using a Y-Rotation of the Main light and/or an X-Rotation of the Ambient light. All of the props have their shadow casting ability turned off so you may wish to switch it back on for whatever props you'd like to cast shadows by selecting the prop(s) and going to Object - Properties from the Poser menu and clicking the Cast Shadows checkbox. The Efficiency Apartment walls, ceiling, doors and windows are very lightweight meshes while the Bathroom and Kitchen props are considerably larger. The upshot being, that if you don't have your scene set to use either of them, you can exclude them from your render to decrease the overall size of your scene file and the conserve the resources of the computer making the render. =============================================================================== To install: Unzip the archive (Eff-Apt.zip) to the root folder wherever you installed Poser: (i.e., C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser 8).
