Thank you for purchasing the Facades Pack # 3 "Residential Pack" from CGbytes.com The Residential Pack features 3 unique residential design style facades and supporting items such as street and building mounted lighting, divider columns and pre-assembled modules to help you get started. The Residential Pack is designed to be used in conjunction with any of the other Facades packages such as: Facade Pack # 1 "Industrial Pack" Facade Pack # 2 "The Basics Pack" Facade Pack # 4 "Commercial Pack" Facade Pack # 5 "Bays Pack" The Residential pack is and expansion to the other packages. The Residential pack elements will be extracted to the following folder in your standard runtime library: Facades Res Worn The "worn" designation refers to the texture scheme. Other texture schemes will be available and placed in their own folder. Description of elements: 3rd Wall Full and Half - The 3rd wall figures are meant to be a simple wall that is placed above the standard facades to create a taller building front. The 3rd wall figures come in full version which is the width of a standard facade and half version which is half as wide. The wall is imported at the correct height to fit on top of a standard facade. You can drop the wall to the ground level and use it as a normal wall if you wish. Assemblies 1-3 - The package includes 4 pre-assembled scenes to get your setups going. Assembly 1 is the stoop style facade (facade 1) with 1 facade style 3 on each side plus 2 street lamps. Assembly 2 is a set of 3 facade style 2 and street lamp Assembly 3 is a set of 3 facade style 3 and street lamp Assembly 4 is an alcove alley style set with facade style 1 on the end and facade style 2's making the alley long walls. You can combine the pre-assemblies to create a simple street scene. There is a null base figure that all the elements and figures of the assemblies are parented to. You can move the entire assembly by picking the null base. Null base - The null base figure is a non-rendering, diamond shaped figure that sits close to the ground plane. The null base is used as the base or parent object that you will want to parent your figures to if you are creating a scene or assembly you'd like to save back to the library. All the provided assemblies in the Facades packages use the null base system for parenting. Building Lamps 5 & 6 - These are nice looking wall mounted lamps. You can attach them to any surface. The lamp glass and bulbs are ambient lit materials that will glow in the dark. Column 5 (res) - The columns can be used as facade dividers to break up the continuity and elevation of your facades scene. There are different style columns in each package. The top and bottom half of the column can be hidden and the sidewalk portion can be hidden as well. The columns are the same footprint of the standard facades only narrower. Column 7 (Basic) - This is a generic column that is available in all the Facades Packs. This column is used to attach signs / banners and other prop figures to it. Util Assem 4 (util 4) - This is a support brace style that is pre-parented to Column 7. The brace comes also as a stand alone called Utility Prop 4. CORNER MODULES AS DESCRIBED BELOW ARE IN EACH PACKAGE. Corner Module 1 - This corner module has 2 posable flanges that can be angle adjusted to allow an outside corner look of any angle. Place this corner module at the end of your standard facade when you want to turn a corner. Corner Module 2 - This is a large circular corner module that also allows you to have an any-angle corner. This column is divided into 8 segments that can be turned off if you want to incorporate an interior scene. This will prevent any of the column from showing into a window. This corner module also provides a large corner radius for the sidewalk. Corner Module 3 - This corner module is a sidewalk only figure. It has a smaller corner radius. It should be used in conjunction with corner module 1. Corner Module 4 - This corner module is used for an inside corner if you want to have 2 facades bend like an elbow. Street Lamp 1 - This is a smart looking street lamp with adjustable height base/stem. The lamp head at the end of the extension arm can be bent to desired position. Place several of these lamps along your street scene. Wall Generic - This is a generic standard facade wall that is available in all the facades packages. The top floor, bottom floor and sidewalk can be hidden. The generic wall can be used as filler facades between the standard facades. Wall Res 1 - This is a facade with a "stoop" style set of stairs and posable doors. The windows on the second floor are darkly tinted, but can be made more transparent if you want to incorporate an interior view to the outside. The top floor, bottom floor and sidewalk can be hidden. Wall Res 2 - This is a window wall style facade with HVAC units built into the walls below the windows. All lights on the facade are ambient lit and will glow in the dark. The top floor, bottom floor and sidewalk can be hidden. Wall Res 3 - This is another window wall style Facade. The windows on this facade extend outward so an interior view looking out can see down onto the sidewalk and below. There are some pipes below the lower windows to add some interest. The top floor, bottom floor and sidewalk can be hidden. The intent of the Facades Residential Pack is to be a tool set for creating interesting street scenes with a bit of a sci-fi theme to them. The Residential Pack features unique standard facades, street and building lamps not available in any other facades package. The Facades Basic Pack (sold separately) features many street side elements to greatly enhance any other Facades package. Over time you will want to be sure to have all the Facades packs to increase your building potential. Thanks again for your purchase, I hope you enjoy this product.
