************************************************************ *Product Name: Dungeon Cell-Kit *Copyright 12th November 2010 *By: Andrus63 *Contact: [email removed] ************************************************************ The Dungeon Cell-kit contains the elements to build a wide variety of ancient dungeon chambers and cells, with opening and locking doors, narrow windows through which the prisoners can peer hopelessly, keys that may be the core of desperate escape attempts, and a bed on which to sit and contemplate their future. -------------------------------------- System Requirements: PC and Mac compatible Poser 6 Daz Studio, Poser 8 -------------------------------------- Ownership Statement: All of this product's content was created by Andrus63 -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: To install, open the zip file. Drop the "runtime” folder into your Poser or Daz Studio directory, and the files should install in their proper places. You can find the contents of this product under: Libraries/Props/Andrus63/Cellkit and Libraries/Pose/Andrus63/Cellbasic and Libraries/hand/Andrus63/cellkit If you already have the Dungeon Cell-Kit Expansion then you may get warnings during installation about over-writing files. This is because there are duplicate files to ensure that both sets can operate independently. Simply allow the files to overwrite and both sets will work fine. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: The preloads are sets, like a film or TV studio, not complete chambers. There are walls missing to make it easier to locate cameras and lights. If you want complete chambers, it is easy to load an extra wall or element as you desire. The mattress and the morphing tool. We gave the mattress a dense mesh with the P7/8 morphing tool in mind. Use this tool to distort the surface to match your poses. The mattress has a good number of included morphs, but if you need more or different dents in the mattress then the morphing tool should work well with it. The mattress comes in with the bed – if you just want the mattress on the floor, delete the bed after loading it and lower the mattress down. For a wooden floor, drop the ceiling to ground level and use the top surface. Use the columns to disguise any awkward joins between wall sections. Original textures are included, but the props should also work well with any tiling textures you may have. For the metallic parts, Poser procedurals can work extremely well. We particularly recommend the free ones by Traveler, available in the RDNA freebies section. Poses. These poses are designed to work with the DAZ 3D figures Michael 4 and Victoria 4; they do work with other figures, but will require adjustment. For the bed poses position the figure body to match the bed (same XYZ trans and rotation), and the poses should reposition the figure(s) to the correct place on the mattress. Apply the appropriate mattress morph (in the section marked “poses”). We always advise that you turn inverse kinematics and limits off, as otherwise poses will not all work. Both the door and the grill door have morphs on the lock that extends the bolt. Smart-propped keys fit into the locks. The key bunch is simply the key ring and three keys parented to it for ease of use – extra keys can be added or keys removed as you wish. The ring on its own can also become a wall loop. We have not hidden dials or set limits. We find it irritating and annoying when dials are hidden – most 3D artists use a degree of imagination when constructing sets and scenes, and having those dials enables creative use of the props. If you want a door to be ripped off its hinges, you can! The textures are optimised for Poser; the set has also been tested in and works in Daz Studio, but textures may need to be tweaked slightly. The wall texture is created from photographs of the walls of Richmond Castle, in north-west England. Have fun!
